Harbourfront Centre WORLD ROUTES 2008 Summer Events (June through September)
Harbourfront Centre presents top Canadian and International artists in music, dance, theatre, visual arts and film at each World Routes weekend starting June 26/08 to September 1/08.
All festivals are FREE and suitable for all ages. World Routes is presented by RBC. Visitors can also shop and eat at the International Marketplace and at The World Cafe nestled alongside an extensive waterfront boardwalk



Factory Theatre announces 2007-2008 Season!
Factory Theatre launches its bold new 38th season with a full slate of works, including five large productions in the Mainspace Theatre; one Studio Theatre production; and the return of two major festivals: CrossCurrents, and Performance Spring.
The playbill includes provocative and scintillating works by veteran playwrights, Linda Griffiths (Age of Arousal), Andrew Moodie (The Real McCoy) and George F. Walker (Beyond Mozambique) as well as a powerful double bill by the strongly emerging new voice, Hannah Moscovitch (The Russian Play & Essay).
Factory’s 2007/2008 season also boasts compelling collaborations with some of Canada’s most innovative and boundary pushing independent theatres including: Theatre-Smith Gilmour (The Mansfield Project), Nightwood Theatre (Griffiths’ Age of Arousal) and Vancouver’s award-winning collective, Theatre Replacement (Sexual Practices of the Japanese).

Scotia Bank Caribana 2008 Events Schedule
TORONTO – Scotiabank Caribana’s Festival Management Committee announced the official summer program and list of new corporate sponsors to participate in the 2008 Scotiabank Caribana, the largest cultural festival of its kind in North America. The 2008 Program will include new festivities as well as favourites of the past. In March, Scotiabank celebrated a new multi-year partnership with the festival, resulting in title sponsorship of the Caribana Festival Scotiabank Caribana’s summer program includes a series of events beginning with Luminat’eau: Carnival H2O (formerly Carnivalissima) on June 13-15; COLOURblind International, Roots to Rhythm – a visual art exhibition on July 24 – August 4; the Scotiabank Caribana Gala on July 25 and will close with the Scotiabank Caribana Parade and De Caribana Lime-Island Festival on August 2 and 3rd respectively. This landmark event is a key tourist attraction for the City of Toronto and attracted more than 1.2 million revellers last summer

The rock.paper.sistahz 7 (RPS 7) festival is an annual event that b current has hosted for the last seven years, presents and celebrates the new and exciting work from emerging artists from Toronto and all over the world. This year's festival will take place from May 1-31 at various venues across the city. To celebrate our seventh year we have planned a series of innovative, fun and community building events including a special literary evening with some of Ontario?s top poets and writers, an original cooking event with children from Toronto's priority neighbourhoods, an outdoor youth concert event/jam session, drama workshops in public schools and much more. Join us for this year?s festival as b current combines community outreach and artistic development to create a unique and memorable theatrical experience!
