JIS To Web Cast Swearing-In Of Portia Simpson Miller

The historic swearing in of Portia Simpson Miller, as Jamaica's first 

female

Prime Minister, will be web cast on Thursday, March 30, at 5:00 pm.

The Jamaica Information Service (JIS), in association with Emoquad and 

Cable

and Wireless Jamaica Limited, will facilitate the web casting of the

ceremony, which will be held at King's House, the official residence of

Governor General.

Jamaicans at home and abroad, as well as other interested parties, can 

log

on to the JIS website @ www.jis.gov.jm, to see the live broadcast.

The web cast is to facilitate Jamaicans worldwide, who are unable to 

attend

the historic event.
