Stage Manager: Mike Bordage Sound/Lighting Design: Alycia O'Keefe New theatre company Nu Spyce Productions presents Ntozake Shanges classic, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow is Enuf. This choreopoem, referring to the shows fusion of movement and language, is a series of overlapping prose poems and stories, each dealing with aspects of life as a woman rape, abortion and abuse but mixed with celebratory stories filled with song, dance and humour. Originally staged in New York over 30 years ago, it has been performed off and on Broadway with the 1977 production being nominated for best play. This production features four actresses portraying the seven nameless characters, each only known by a colour of the rainbow.
